HI I have a Yamaha Virago with Starter motor problems. It is an Import model dated 1991 VX 750 However the engine may be an early model. It has not had the starter conversion and is original. The problem is the replacement starter and starter clutch ( Long ) will not fit my origonal Crank case. I am in need of the deeper case with the clutch Bearing and Yamaha have discontinued the part. The valve and adjuster on my machine are badly worn due to oil starvation, so it is probably worth replacing the spring as well. I am looking for preferably a new parts but will consider used ones providing condition is A1.
